Welcome to Carter's Academy of Self-Defense Blog hosted by Sensei John Carter and the Columbia, South Carolina Dojo. A place to discuss dojo news and martial arts topics related to the art of Nihon Goshin Aikido and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.
We had a great group attend the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu training and seminar held on Saturday, July 31st and Sunday, August 1st. Professor Valente showed us solid technique, with attention to details, while maintaining a great learning environment. The seminar was well attended by students from Columbia Self-Defense, Aikido Academy of Self-Defense, and Midlands Jiu-Jitsu. We had a great weekend and look forward to next year. Thanks to all involved.
